Skin Care Research (SCR) is a clinical research center located in Florida, with over 25 years of experience in the execution of clinical trials focusing on all facets of dermatology. It is our mission to rapidly recruit, diligently retain, flawlessly process and effectively complete all types of clinical trial protocols.     Ann Mazor Reed

    Board Certified Dermatologist

    Ann Mazor Reed, DO, FAAD, FAOCD is a board-certified dermatologist and Research Medical Director & Investigator at Skin Care Research in Boca Raton, FL. In addition to her work at Skin Care Research, Dr. Reed also sees patients at Rendon Center, where she provides complete dermatological care to all ages, groups and skin types. She practices medical as well as cosmetic dermatology. Some of the many conditions she treats include acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Dr. Reed also offers anti-aging treatments including lasers, chemical peels, neuromodulators such as Botox and Dysport, dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm, in addition to personalized skincare regimens.

  • Eduardo Weiss, MD

    Eduardo Weiss

    Board Certified Dermatologist

    Eduardo T. Weiss, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and investigator at Skin Care Research in Hollywood, FL. In addition to his work as an investigator, Dr. Weiss also sees patients at Hollywood Dermatology, where he specializes in Mohs surgery for skin cancer removal, facial rejuvenation including cosmetic laser technology, Botox, facial fillers, soft tissue augmentation, leg and facial vein treatment, and tumescent liposuction. Dr. Weiss has diagnosed and treated thousands of patients globally in his 30-year profession and is internationally known as an expert in the field of dermatology.

    Max Polo

    Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

    Max Polo, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and investigator at Skin Care Research in Miami, FL. In addition to his work as an investigator, Dr. Polo also sees patients at Miami Plastic Surgery. He has been in private practice in South Florida for 18 years. In 2014, after building an exceptional reputation over more than 11 years with a successful solo practice in South Miami, Dr. Polo was invited to join the prestigious Miami Plastic Surgery® group. Dr. Polo’s practice is now focused on both non-surgical and surgical aesthetic procedures for the face, breasts and body. He expertly performs aesthetic facial injectable procedures, including: neuromodulators (i.e. Botox), dermal and soft tissue fillers, Kybella, PDO threads, and other methods for facial rejuvenation and hair loss. Dr. Polo also skillfully performs many aesthetic facial surgeries, including: Neograft hair restoration, brow lifts, blepharoplasty, face lifts, neck lifts, and neck liposuction.     Michael A. Scannon, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and investigator at Skin Care Research in Tampa, FL. In addition to his work as an investigator, Dr. Scannon also sees patients at Florida West Coast Skin and Cancer Center. He has been in practice since January 1982 in Tampa and Dade City Florida. Dr. Scannon received his training from Emory University, Department of Dermatology and at the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in Internal Medicine. He is a member of the prestigious Noah Worchester Dermatological Society, American Academy of Dermatology, Hillsborough County Medical Association, Florida Society of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Photomedicine Society to name just a few. Dr. Scannon is also the former Medical Director of the west coast chapter of the National Psoriasis Foundation and is an Affiliate Associate Professor for the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. Dr. Scannon offers a wide variety of treatment options for psoriasis patients including Light-box therapy, X-trac laser and biologic therapy. He also participates in various Research Studies for psoriasis. He offers Radiation therapy as a treatment option for patients with superficial skin cancers in his Tampa office. He also offers cosmetic skin care products and services.     Ross Radusky MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and investigator at Dermatology Treatment and Research Center in Dallas, TX where he also sees patients.     Nancy Muskat MMS, PA-C is a certified physician assistant and sub-investigator at Skin Care Research in Hollywood, FL. In addition to her work as a sub-investigator, Nancy also sees patients at Hollywood Dermatology. Nancy graduated in 2004 from Nova Southeastern University with a Master’s in Medical Science. From 2005 to 2008, she was offered a private dermatology residency with a local dermatologist who specialized in psoriasis. She then was hired at Hollywood Dermatology to coordinate the practice’s Psoriasis Center of Excellence, where she continues to work in addition to her role at Skin Care Research.

    Sandra Snyder

    Certified Physician Assistant

    Sandra L. Snyder, PA-C is a certified physician assistant and sub-investigator at Skin Care Research in Tampa, FL. In addition to her work as a sub-investigator, Sandra also sees patients at Florida West Coast Skin and Cancer Center. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Business from Northern Illinois University in 1983. She worked in television for 10 years as the Community Affairs Director at WTSP-TV. She returned to school and obtained a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Florida in 1999. Upon graduation, Ms. Snyder practiced two years in family medicine before specializing in general medical dermatology with an emphasis in psoriasis, severe acne and hyperhidrosis and hidrandenitis supurativa. Ms. Snyder is the Treasurer of the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and a member of the Florida Association of Physician Assistants. She was voted South Tampa Best Dermatology Provider by the readers of South Tampa News & Tribune in 2011.

    Isabel Maya is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in dermatology at Skin Care Research. Originally from Colombia, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Sciences with minors in Chemistry and Biology from Florida State University. She went on to complete her Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale.

    Angela Garcia

    Certified Clinical Research Coordinator

    Angela M. Garcia, CCRC is a certified clinical research coordinator at Skin Care Research, where she has been directly involved throughout all phases of past and current clinical trials since she joined the team in October 2012. Though she is not currently practicing, Angela is a residency-trained family physician who completed her training at St. Mary’s Hospital in Hoboken, NJ.
